Lamplight

This single origin comes from Ethiopia's southern highlands, where smallholders grow coffee on small garden plots at high elevation. It's washed and slowly dried, which gives the cup its clarity. Most roasters keep coffee like this light. We take it darker on purpose, and that trades the delicate florals for something deeper — cocoa, a juicy dark-orange note through the middle, and a black-tea finish with a rustic edge. Still unmistakably Ethiopian, just with the lamps turned on. This is the after-supper cup, for the end of the day when the work is done. Roasted medium-dark to bring out sweetness and depth without bitterness, and available whole bean or ground. Best brewed as French press, drip, or moka pot.
