Shipping & Delivery Policy

Our roadside farm stand is located at 6823 Old State Rd, Edinboro, PA 16412. It operates as a self-serve stand and is available anytime. Currently, eggs are available at the farm stand.

Payment: Cash, check, or credit card (self-serve). No delivery fee applies to farm stand purchases.

We offer local delivery throughout Erie County, PA, covering 19 zip codes. Delivery is available for eggs (subscription required), tallow products, coffee, tea, herbs, and spices.

Delivery Schedule: Deliveries are made by Deer Run Acres over the 1st and 3rd weekends of each month.

Delivery Fee: $6.00 per delivery stop. This fee applies per delivery, not per item.

Delivery Area: Edinboro, Girard, Erie, Fairview, McKean, Harborcreek, Waterford, North East, Albion, Lake City, Cranesville, Mill Village, Wattsburg, and surrounding communities.

Note: Beef and pork are NOT available for local delivery. These products are picked up at the butcher.

Select products are available for shipping anywhere in the United States. Shippable products include: tallow products (balms, lip balm, deodorant, candles), coffee, tea, herbs, and spices.

Shipping Costs: Calculated at checkout based on weight and destination.

Processing Time: Orders are typically processed and shipped within 3-5 business days.

Products NOT available for shipping: Eggs, beef, and pork cannot be shipped. Eggs are available via local delivery or farm stand pickup. Beef and pork are picked up at the butcher.

Our tallow products — whipped tallow balm and tallow lip balm — are made with no synthetic preservatives or stabilizers, which means they are sensitive to heat. They begin to soften around 85°F and firm back up below that temperature.

Whipped tallow balm — ships year-round. May arrive softened or fully melted in warm weather. The product remains effective; simply leave the jar at room temperature and it firms back up on its own. Some volume reduction is normal as the whipped air escapes during melting — this does not mean any product is missing.

Tallow lip balm — ships October 1 through April 30 only. Because the lip balm can leak from the tube and become unusable in hot transit, we do not ship it from May 1 through September 30. During those months, the lip balm remains available for local pickup and local delivery.

We do not currently ship with ice packs or insulated packaging. The cost and reliability tradeoffs (insulation fails in extended heat regardless) don't justify it for most orders. If you have a specific concern — for example, you live in a consistently hot climate or want to time an order around weather — please reach out before ordering.

All beef and pork orders are picked up directly at the butcher by the customer. Deer Run Acres does not deliver or ship meat products.

Once your animal is scheduled for processing, we will share the butcher details, location, and pickup scheduling with you. All meat must be picked up from the butcher within 3 days of completed butcher.

Our meat is butchered at local state inspected butcher shops in the Erie County area.

Subscription products are delivered on the same schedule as local delivery — over the 1st and 3rd weekends of each month. Available frequencies include once a month or twice a month.

Subscription delivery is available within Erie County, PA (19 zip codes). The $6 delivery fee applies per stop.

Egg subscriptions require a credit card on file.
