Ethiopia is the birthplace of coffee, and this single origin comes from the country's southern highlands, where smallholders grow coffee on small garden plots at high elevation. It's washed and slowly dried — the process that gives the cup its clarity and lift. Expect citrus, stone fruit, floral aromatics, and a clean black-tea finish. This is the morning cup: bright on its feet, best drunk black before the day gets going. Roasted light-medium to keep those delicate aromatics intact, and available whole bean or ground. Roasted from certified organic green coffee beans. (We roast in small batches on the farm; Deer Run Acres is not itself a certified organic handler.)
