Ethiopia is the birthplace of coffee, and this single origin comes from the country's southern highlands, where smallholders grow coffee on small garden plots at high elevation. It's a natural, dried slowly in the whole cherry — the process that gives the cup its fruit and sweetness. Expect citrus, stone fruit, floral aromatics, and a ripe berry sweetness. This is the morning cup: bright on its feet, best drunk black before the day gets going. Roasted light-medium to keep those delicate aromatics intact, and available whole bean or ground. Roasted from certified organic green coffee beans. (We roast in small batches on the farm; Deer Run Acres is not itself a certified organic handler.)
