Ages 21+ only. Every participant must be 21 or older β we are not able to make exceptions.
Godfrey Run Farm Market β 9000 W Lake Rd, Lake City, PA 16423
What to Expect
A liniment is an herbal extract made for the outside of the body β rubbed into sore shoulders, tired legs, stiff backs, and bruised shins. Farmers, athletes, and grandmothers have all kept a bottle around. They're inexpensive, they last for years, and they're genuinely simple to make once you've done it once.
In this workshop you'll bottle three 2 oz liniments, each with a different job. We'll cover why liniments use an alcohol base instead of oil, how long each one needs to steep and how to strain it, how to adjust strength if a batch comes out too hot, and how to label and store them so they keep for a year or more.
One note before you register: liniments are built on an alcohol base, which makes this a 21-and-over workshop. We arenβt able to make exceptions, so please leave the kids at home for this one β plenty of our other classes are built for them.
What You'll Make β Three 2 oz bottles, packed and labeled by hand:
- βOne for warming and deep, the classic for stiff backs, aching joints, and cold-weather soreness
- βOne for cooling and bright, for tired legs, tight shoulders, and hot summer days
- βOne for the traditional go-to for bumps, bruises, and sore spots
What's Included:
- βAll herbs and the alcohol base for all three bottles
- βThree 2 oz bottles with caps and parchment liners
- βLabels and strain-by dates
- βPrinted handout with all three recipes, steeping timelines, straining instructions, and safety notes
- βHands-on instruction from start to finish
What to Bring
Nothing β everything is provided. Your bottles go home wet-packed, so a box or tote to carry them upright is helpful.
